Donations Make the Nonprofit World Go 'Round

Major Donations Needed:

We are a startup nonprofit and need a few large items to get up and running.

Major Items Needed

  • Van

  • Storage Space

  • 2 Laptop Computers

Donate Money

We are a 100% donation-funded organization. Your donations provide private sector dollars that help reduce the amount of taxpayer dollars spent on the Migrant Crisis.  We appreciate anything you can give.

Donate Goods

Your Extra Stuff is Valuable to Them

We facilitate the donation of goods via coordinated weekly drop offs.  These donations are then paired with Migrants whose needs have been verified by our onsite migrant camp manager. Those donations are delivered to them directly. This ensures that your donations are not hoarded or sold by some migrants who don't have the best interest of others in mind. Please do not drive into a migrant camp to drop off donations, as those most in need will not be assured of getting the specific items they need. Follow us on Facebook to find out the details of our next donation drop off event.

We need help to accomplish our mission.  We have volunteer positions available for:

  • Donation Squirrels

    • PDS does not have a facility to store donations. Donation Squirrels organize donation drives in their community, store those donations on our behalf, and provide us an inventory. Then our drivers can pick up these donations when they are needed and provide them directly to those who need them.  Just like Amazon!

  • Drivers

    • We need drivers to facility the Amazon-like delivery of donations from our Squirrel sites and take groups of Migrants to appointments.

  • Community Outreach

    • Delivering on our mission to help with the migrant crisis requires coordinating with other aid organizations, local governments, law enforcement, and immigration officials.  Our community outreach volunteers seek to understand how best to work together with all involved and advise the Board on strategies to maximize these efforts.

  • Board Members

    • PDS Board Members ensure we're delivering results consistent with our mission, are following all requirements of our nonprofit status and By Laws, provide oversight of our employees and subcontractors, and fundraise.  They are expected to attend 80% of our monthly Board meetings (Zoom attendance is available).
